CHUTIYA KINGDOM
At 1189 AD, A king named Birpal established a Kingdom near Subansiri and the bank of disang river, which is named as Chutiya Kingdom. In this kingdom After Birpal, many Rulers ruled. And among them the 16th ruler of the kingdom was Dhirnarayan OR Dharamraj.He was so strong at that time and he also fights lots of battles with Ahom. And he have a son and a Daughter. Son's name is- Sadhaknarayan and Daughter's name is Sadhani and she was married to Nitai OR Nityapal. In the old age of Dhirnarayan, he handed over his throne to Nityapal or his son-in-law. On that time the king of Ahom was Suhungmung, and when he get the news that Dhirnarayan is no more a king of Chutiya kingdom, then he want to take chance of this situation. As Nityapal is not so powerful, Suhungmung attacked in Chutiya Kingdom and annexed the Kingdom to Ahom. After that, King Nityapal and his wife Sadhani committed suicide as they have lost their kingdom.
